Addenda

The app is not live yet. This article describes the intended behaviour. A dedicated addenda list is not built. planned

Adding an addendum

An addendum changes a bid set after it was issued. Upload it into the same project, like any other file.

The app reads an addendum as its own document. It does not merge the changes into the original. It does not decide what the addendum replaces.

Search covers the addendum together with the rest of the project. Each hit names the file it came from, so you can see when a hit is in an addendum.

If an addendum includes a sheet with a number already in the set, the two form a version group. Both are kept. See the article on version groups.

Some downloads hold only addenda, with no base drawing set. Specifications can also arrive without drawings. When the app can see this, it puts a note at the top of the Index Report.

A list of addenda by number and date is planned. Until then, the file name tells you which addendum a page came from.

Example project (fictional): an addendum is uploaded with a new Sheet A-501. The project then shows Sheet A-501 in two issues.
